Reaching Hand is a registered Charitable Trust started in 1996 in Bangalore to work with underprivileged children, vulnerable youths and deprived women. It envisions an empowered future for all by acting as a catalyst for social change. Reaching Hand empowers the children, youths and women through its innovative programme focusing on providing quality education, health care services and skill development training so that they lead a life of self-worth, hope and dignity.
Reaching Hand mainly works in three sectors.
Education - Teachers training and running Spoorthi centers in school to provide after School Programme support to children studying in High School for better performance.
Health - Run Water Sanitation and Hygiene Programs for Girls in the Govt Schools by building toilets and conducting WASH workshop for students on behaviour change.
Skill Development - Impart employability skills amongst vulnerable youths with job guarantee.
