Create a Fundraiser on ammado to raise funds for your favourite causes. ammado Fundraisers are easy to set up, easy to use and allow you to fundraise for multiple nonprofit organizations at once!
For international campagins ammado has created a special type of fundraising page, a World Fundraiser, to enable tax-efficient donations. Please visit this article for more information on World Fundraisers and an illustration of set up.
1. How to set up a Fundraiser:
Go to http://www.ammado.com/startfundraising and Log In or enter your details to Sign Up.
Choose your title and one or more beneficiary nonprofits.
Next you can choose various fundraiser options. Setting a target will give you a progress bar showing donations.
Hidden Fundraisers: You can set up your fundraiser as hidden so that it's not searchable on the ammado site and can unhide it at anytime.
Now your fundraiser is ready to take donations. Personalising your page with details of your challenge or campaign will encourage more donations. ammado also has several useful tools to help you achieve fundraising success!
Your fundraising page is completely under your control and contains lots of ways to share the stories of your adventure and get people excited about donating.
Content is easy to add and edit using the “Add”, “Edit” and “Change Picture” links beside pictures, videos, articles and text etc.
When someone makes a donation to your fundraiser they will be sent an automatic email confirming the details of their donation. These details will all be summarized in your online fundraising statement.
Your fundraising statement is located under the fundraising tab. You can also access it by clicking “Statement” under the Fundraising heading.
Comments made by your donors will be visible in “Latest Updates” on your main fundraising profile page for the most recent donations made. They are found in your donation statement with the rest of the details of your donations. Roll over “Show” in your fundraising statement to read the comments.
You can choose to receive an email notification of all donations made to your fundraiser. These and other notification options can be managed under your Settings. To access settings: roll over your name in the top right corner of the site as shown below.
You can encourage donations to your fundraiser in all the usual ways like sharing the link to your fundraising page through Facebook, twitter and email. ammado also has some great fundraising tools to help you boost donations: Donate buttons for your email signature, a Facebook Giving Application and the ammado Giving Widget. All of these can be located on the promote page of your fundraiser. Simply click the purple “Promote Cause” button on your fundraising page.
Adding a donate button to your email signature is a great way of increasing donations and reminding people to donate. You have options of colour, language and size. Simply follow the instructions on the Promotion page of your fundraiser.
Facilitate donations to your fundraiser on any Facebook page with ammado’s Facebook Giving App. This is accessed on the Promotion page of your fundraiser. Our step‐by‐step guide shows you how to add the App. Please Note: Facebook distinguishes between Facebook Pages and Facebook Profiles. The App can only be added to Facebook pages to facilitate donations. While you can make donations through the App on your personal Facebook profile, you cannot display the App there to collect donations. It is however easy to set up a Facebook page to collect donations for your fundraising campaign. Please see: https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
ammado’s portable donation tool, the ammado Giving Widget, will enable you to collect donations on virtually any website, blog or intranet. You can choose different colour/size/ beneficiary options, save and then copy and paste the code generated to your website or blog. Perhaps you can convince your friends, employers or groups to do the same allowing people to donate to your fundraiser from all over the web! Your widget code for your fundraiser is found on the Promotion page of your fundraiser. Find out more on adding the widget.
Best of luck with your fundraising journey!

A bike ride event in Seoul took place in October 2013 in aid of local nonprofits in Asia and a particular project for CARE.
The event organizer – Société Générale – wanted a single solution to register their employees for the event, process their registration fees and raise a particular target amount in order to be eligible to participate in the event.
The result was a new website designed, built and maintained by ammado: https://societegeneralebikeride.ammadoevents.com/
For the Seoul event, bike riders from Société Générale would take part in a meaningful mission for 2 days to cycle in support of their local charity partner in Korea, Buk Bu and other local charity partners in Asia Pacific.
In total, six Asian countries were represented by their local charities. All six local charities were added as beneficiaries to each participant’s fundraiser, which was automatically created upon registering for the event.
Normally, donors would donate to all the beneficiaries in an ammado fundraiser (with the percentage split of the donations between the beneficiaries predefined). However, ammado has developed a unique form of fundraiser that can detect the country of a donor automatically and present the correct “local” nonprofit to them as the single beneficiary of the donation. Société Générale opted for this form of fundraiser.
Société Générale wished ammado to
As well as offering unique fundraisers that present custom local charities based on the country of donors, ammado has developed an Application Programming Interface – or API – that is simple to use on any website.
The API can be used to create online fundraisers instantly in response to any action by a user, such as a signup process, a simple button click, or in this case, a registration and payment process. Further, the API can be used to provide a donation facility directly on the website with the processing and disbursement of all donations managed by ammado automatically. For more information on the ammado API and its capabilities, view our technical documentation at https://api.ammado.com/.
The Société Générale website is a powerful demonstration of how ammado can supply an end-to-end solution for campaigns from designing and setting up an event registration website to using ammado’s API to automatically create unique fundraisers and accept donations directly on the host website.
