Radio Sagor Giri FM 99.2 has already started test transmission . This is the first Government approved community radio station in Chittagong initiated by YPSA . The name of this Community Radio is Radio Sagor Giri, which carries the natural characteristics of Sitakund that is surrounded by Ocean (Sagor) and Mountains (Giri).

The main objective of Radio Sagor Giri FM 99.2  is to provide socio-economic development and livelihood related information to the rural communities in an understandable way specially using local dialect. Agriculture, education, health, disaster management, environment, Climate change, Disability, women , Youth and child issues, market price, social services , heritage and culture etc. will be covered by the Radio Sagor Giri FM 99.2  by , with and for the community people.

Radio Sagor Giri FM 99.2 will be available in the radius of a 17 km around the station at Sitakund which also covered some portion of Sandip islands and Mirsawrai Upazilla of Chittagong .

Radio Sagor Giri FM 99.2 will be starting its full fledge transmission soon.

YPSA Annual General Meeting AGM 09 held on 18 th December 09 at HRDC Sitakund Campus Training center . AGM was inaugurated by National anthem and it was presided over by Mr.Shamsuddin Bhuyan (Tutul), President of the Executive Committee. Mr.Arifur Rahman , General Secretary presented organizational Program report (08-09) and Yearly program plan (09-10) . Ms.Yasmin Akter Jugnu , Finance Secretary presented organizational finance report (08-09) and Yearly budget (09-10) . Reports, plan and budget was analyzed and discussed by general members and it was approved.

At the AGM, YPSA WE CAN team organized one participatory orientation session on GENDER. All general members are sensitized and agreed to Mainstreaming GENDER issues at the all level of the YPSA.

Mr.Monzur Murshed Chowdhury , Director( Economic Development) presented detail status of the YPSA Micro Finance and Micro Enterprise program and its future business development plan . Mr.Palash Chowdhury , Director( Finance) presented detail information of the organizational finance management and status of the funding portfolio . Mr.Mahabubur Rahman , Director(Field Operation) presented organizational ongoing development programs and future expansion plan of the organizational working areas .

YPSA Executive Committee Members Mr.Shamir Sharma , Mr.Liton Chowdhury , Mr.Nurun Nabi and Ms.Dilshad Chowdhury also expressed their solidarity with the Organizational program and overall management . They emphasized on more sustainable growth based on 3rd Organizational Strategic and Business Plan (2008-2013) . YPSA General Member Mr.Monwar Shagor , Mr.Shushil Adhikary , Mr.SalimUllah , Mr.Shahidul Haque Bipul, Mr.Gowtam Adhikary, Mr.Ashok Shom , Mr.MA Quashem, Mr.Bablu Devnath , Ms.Rozina Parvin , Mr.Anisul Haque  was the discussant at the AGM .  General members emphasized on the year long different programs to observation of the 25 th years anniversary of the YPSA .

General members also approved the decision of the expansion of the geographical and population coverage by the organization and more welfare activities for the general member , staff and volunteers .
