Have you considered forming an international "farming corp," made up of volunteers who would enlist for a year's term and travel to impoverished areas and work side by side with local people digging wells, tilling soil and growing plants? Farming experts, also volunteers, would be consulted on how and what to grow and where to grow it. Developed countries would be asked to donate equipment and funds to buy seeds, reclaim arid, unused land. Livestock can be imported, supermarkets and farmers' markets constructed, and people employed in new food services industries. All that is needed at this point is the will to do it. I think it is feasible; does anyone else feel the same way?
