PATT's mission is to combat deforestation worldwide by restoring natural forests, raise awareness of environment issues, take action against climate change, educate children and PLANT MORE TREES!
Volunteer in Environmental Outreach & Advocacy If
you like to travel and are passionate about environmental conservation,
planting trees, and combating climate change, we need you! Plant A Tree
Today (PATT) Foundation is on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers
from around the world to join us here in Thailand. You would primarily
do community and school outreach to inspire others to plant more trees
and take action to care for our environment. With the help of
volunteers placed around the country, we can get all of Thailand moving
toward a greener way of life. Training is provided, however, once in
placement, daily supervision is much less intensive. Therefore,
volunteers need to be self-starters. Specific activities will vary from
location to location, but typically include:
* Developing and conducting workshops for the community on environmental issues * Arranging and conducting school tree planting trips, establishment of tree nurseries * Giving presentations to schools on environmental education topics * Leading environmental campaigns in your area
During
your stay you will learn about the importance of Community Forestry and
see how important information can be, especially to those living in
more remote areas with limited access. So don't wait any longer. Join
the fight against climate change TODAY!
Volunteer as an EcoKids Camp Leader Help
supervise a small group of 6-12 year olds on our EcoKids Camp in
Bangkok. The aim of the camp is to ensure children gain a greater
understanding and appreciation of the environment and nature. The
hands-on aspect of the program means that kids start to understand the
tangible, very real way we impact the Earth. This hopefully will lead
to the younger generations having a personal connection to nature and
the motivation to make responsible environmental decisions when they
become the business leaders and policy makers of tomorrow.
Camp Activities can include but are not limited to: • Guided Nature walks • Tree Planting • Wildlife Spotting • Recycling Activities • Science Museum • Outdoor Games
