Once upon a blue little moon,
three trainee fairies came together in a room.
Said the Fairy Godmother to the three,
“There is a new assignment you see,
in order for you to earn your wings.”
“If you can make Princess Maeve sing and dance,
and when this deed is said and done,
shall the three of you move forth,
to the next stage of the course.”
On the 20th of November, family and friends gathered together at Grand Hyatt Vanda Ballroom for a princess-themed dress-up party in honour of Princess Maeve.
Diagnosed with lymphoma, 4-year-old Maeve could not wait for the party to celebrate the end of her chemotherapy, her “no Chemo Party”, as her family likes to term it.
On the Day, Princess Maeve was surprised in her hotel room by a visit from Cinderella and Snow White, bringing her very own Princess Belle dress. The look of joy and excitement on her face was priceless. After assuring Princess Maeve that she would be escorted to the ball right after dressing up, the princesses helped her get ready.
Princes and Princesses, Knights and Ladies streamed into the ballroom and were greeted by our very own Princess Jasmine. The excitement in the air was bright and infectious. When the family arrived, they were welcomed with confetti and bubbles, and then, an array of games and entertainment, followed by a grand feast.
It was a magical day indeed. Not only was it a day to toast to the health and recovery of a brave little girl, it was a day to toast a great group of family and friends, for making the tough-times-past bearable and for making a little girl’s wish come true.

On 22 May 2010 at the Suntec Convention Centre, an amazing group of wish beneficiaries granted the wishes of 5 special wheelchair-bound children suffering from severe medical conditions. Former Make-A-Wish beneficiaries Firdaus, Tracy, Rachel, Nivedha, and Sheam all of whom have successfully overcome their illnesses, brought back much joy and hope to our wish children through their dancing, volunteering and positiveness.
It's a pleasure volunteering my free time with make-a-wish. There's so much love in the air that eventful day and there's that unforgettable sense of satisfaction that we (the youth comm dancers) have brightened up their (wish beneficiaries) day.
The team consisted of Sheam, Nivedha, Rachel, Tracy, and myself and from the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank MAW and the wish-granters that day for giving us soo much support as well as a meaningful platform to showcase our dancing talents.
Definitely looking forward to the next event.

Justin’s Wish
“Singapore, 25 April, 2010 –Justin, our 4-year old who wished to drive fast cars, was surprised with a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and BMW entourage arriving at his Yio Chu Kang home. Our young F1-kart racer then headed to the Jurong Racetrack for the time of his life. A group of cheerleaders welcomed him at the trackside. He then got suited up for his most amazing race. Justin was accompanied by his family and closest of friends, they had a rare chance to race together on the tracks. After the prize giving (complete with fizzy champagne), they enjoyed a post-race party featuring Wii video-game Cars, in celebration of Justin’s racing achievements.”

I wish to be a police officer

Nifail's Dolphin Treat
On 6 and 7 March, Nifail, a 3 year old boy diagnosed with Suprasellar Glioma, realised his dream of coming up close and personal with dolphins, his favourite of all sea animals.
Prior to his meeting with the dolphins at the Underwater World, Nifail and his family were checked into the brand new Festive Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). During their stay, they were given an exclusive tour of the RWS premises and enjoyed first class treatment as RWS guests. Their experience was made all the more special, knowing that they were among the very first in the world to stay at the hotel.
Nifail also visited the renowned Songs of the Sea attraction at Sentosa, where he was thrilled by the special effects, laser lights and especially the fireworks! The next morning, after a good night’s rest, Nifail got within touching distance of a dolphin! Ably assisted by Underwater World trainers, Nifail gamely jumped into the water and shared a heart-warming moment with a dolphin, widely known as one of nature’s gentlest creatures.
