New York, London and Tokyo –
The Apogee Foundation announced today that it is expanding its internationally recognized
Synergy Programs. As the name suggests, Apogee's Synergy Programs aim to achieve enhanced levels of artistic excellence through the fostering of cooperation among artists from diverse cultural backgrounds: thus allowing the artistic life of each participant to be enriched through engagement with other traditions from around the world. A particular focus of these programs will be the promotion of harmonious collaboration among emerging and preeminent musicians from cultures that have experienced historical disharmony.
Participants in these projects will be selected through the Foundation's
Apogee Awards programs, which serve to discover artistic talent around the globe. Once selected as award laureates, participants will join together in
Apogee Academy programs offering multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural approaches to developing each artist's fullest potential. The artist-laureates who share these experiences will then also perform in live and recorded
Apogee Artists productions celebrating their shared achievements on the world stage.

This collaboration between gifted emerging artists from former Cold War enemies helped build a more enlightened future for people from both regions. In the years since its formation, The Apogee Foundation has evolved from a group of international professionals working to revitalize the collapsing arts education systems of the former Soviet Union into a philanthropic organization fostering human creative potential worldwide.
