Dear friends
It is to inform you that Mr. Monirath, Siem Reap Center manager got a street accident on 6 May at Staung district during his trip from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh for Phnom Penh JMC meeting on 7 May 2010.
On the way to Phnom Penh, while driving alone, he felt dizzy causing a serious headache. At a glance, it seemed he lost consciousness and the car steering wheel pulled right, out of the road and rolled upside down violently 50 meters off road.
The car was motionless, stayed upside down, 4 wheels upwards. It was terrible, a deadly accident. Suddenly the near-by villagers broke the back glass window and pulled Monirath out.
Instantly, Monirath, a bit recovered called Mr. Chhoeurth, National Coordinator for help and again he lost consciousness. One of villagers called the district police commissioner who soon came to the spot with a car, took Monirath in and headed to the district referral hospital.
We then took Monirath to Phnom Penh Calmette Hospital.
After diagnosis, it was reported two ribcage, lung, reins and liver were broken as the seat belt squeezed him around while the car rolling up and down. The whole stomach was also serious as it threw to the steering wheel.
Now Monirath has been hospitalized for 12 nights and his health condition is still worse.
As mentioned above, I would like to share this painful news to everybody, friends and colleagues who know or don't know Monirath in sight, for information sharing.
At the moment we are finding out financial support from all of you who have good sympathy with him.
