Following completion of the community Phase 1 of this project work is now progressing on Phase 2 which is being carried out by a local contractor using virtually exclusively local labour and materials. Phase 1 was a four classroom block, with concrete floor, windows and basic furniture supplied by us. Phase 2 included another four classroom block, a latrine block and a block including offices, store and a library. Completion was as planned by April 2009, with an impressive opening ceremony by the Dr Kassa, the Ethiopian Commissioner for Human Rights attened by all villagers.
