Today a company can also set up giving programs for employees, clients and customers through the ammado Giving Circle. This unique donations feature allows giving micro donations to nonprofits around the world in 33 different currencies.
The vision behind the giving programs is to create a sense of community and make the experience of giving relevant to each individual. Founder and director Dr. Kupka explains: "Traditionally corporate giving means that management decides how corporate funds are distributed. We wanted to bring it back to the individual level of the employee or customer and let them decide which causes they want to support."
Here’s how it works for employees. A company decides to give its employees an amount to donate each month to their favourite nonprofits on ammado. The employees can slice and dice their giving budget into small portions, changing amounts and beneficiaries in an easy way. They can also invite their own nonprofits to the platform. A so- called "Giving Circle" appears on the employee's ammado profile, clearly showing the categories the person has donated to (subject to privacy preferences).
In a similar way, the Customer Giving Program offers companies the opportunity to engage their customers and corporate clients with the philanthropic efforts of the company. Customer vouchers can be issued to people around the world. As with the Employee Giving, the company allows its customers to choose which nonprofit they wish to support through ammado. For the first time cause-related marketing activities really become personal. Companies can also use the ammado Giving Vouchers for their corporate clients, a perfect idea for seasonal giving.
Furthermore, when a person donates through one of the company giving programs, he or she can automatically be added as a friend of that company on ammado. This will allow the company to create an online community on ammado with those that they are involving in their philanthropic efforts and build a strong relationship with these stakeholders. Therefore providing the company with the tools to bring their CSR activities to life and achieve more through greater involvemen
