Ramji 先生以创新的企业模式在印度的农村推广教育。他创办的社会企业Agastya运用高科技领先教育手段在农村普及教育，甚至推广到偏远村落,已覆盖到印度700,000孩子和40,000老师。Ramji 先生将与大家分享该故事，与大家共同探讨此社会创新模式能否适用于中国农村的教育普及，如何让公益更具持久性。Ramji 在成为社会企业家之前，在纽约创办过投资银行，曾在花旗、摩根斯坦利任职。

Ramji provides creative, hands-on education to poor children and teachers - education that’s distinct from the theoretical, rote-based learning prevalent in rural India. His approach sparks curiosity and engages children in creative thinking and inquiry. With a focus on moving from ‘teaching’ to ‘learning’, the foundation has developed innovative approaches in its pioneering Science Park near Bangalore, such as mobile science labs that go into the rural areas to teach. His work has reached more than 700,000 children and trained 40,000 teachers. Mr. Raghavan will discuss how his scalable method achieves systemic change in a rural context and how this method might apply to China.

Before Agastya, Ramji has worked as co-founding a New York based investment bank and broker-dealer, he has also held positions at Citibank, Cedel Group, and Morgan Stanley & Company International Limited.

Calvin Chin [CEO]:
Qifang is the culmination of Calvin’s career experience. He hopes to give everyone a way to pay for education. Calvin has taught students from middle school to graduate school, worked on Wall Street in the debt capital markets, and served in leadership roles in several technology start-ups in New York, Silicon Valley and China more than 12 years. He has also given talks on entrepreneurship, Web 2.0, venture capital, and other China management issues to Chinese and international audiences. Calvin has an MBA from TRIUM (NYU, LSE, HEC Paris) and a B.A. from Yale University.

By searching Network Marketing, i found a blog on the secret of successful social network. (http://jawadonweb.com/?page_id=892) . to share some of its content as well as my observation in China.

Social Network is becoming individual's habit. In Shanghai, social network is a big group of our young people first click once online. Xiaonei.com, the facebook version in China, its users spend hours on it everyday, waiting for friends updates and looking for fun,playing games...  My friend opened the window of xiaonei for one day, it's a habit and since it's habit, people may get lost if it means nothing.

From Complicated to Simple. with more users increase, such social network has developed from simple to complicated, a variety of features applied. and it's getting difficult to navigate through,and model are quite same:  blogging, polls, flash videos, etc frankly speakingly  half of the features i never try.  I agree that people choose when given a choice. But writer said "Unless your market is the boobless teen, there shouldn’t be a dozen choices available for every decision. "

Make Small Big. That's power of internet which has a enormous userbase.  That's also "the principle behind social networks—to harness the power of the many. " social network can also be a leverage tool and it can create many such dramatic stories.

Social networking can be great, as long as it can serve its purpose by connecting people in a meaningful way - and for a meaningful purpose. Design matters too, but not nearly as much as content. Put it together, I would enjoy a social network as my habit if it has meaningful purpose, simple and easy to navigate and can create good stories.

CODE is the pilot student social entrepreneurship project in China. I helped to launch it with Mr Steve Koon and AIESEC. The whole 2008 year for me was about CODE project and don't have time for internship or job hunting in summer holidays but it has been very interesting experience. very nice~~

Social Innovation Park SIP is a NGO promoting social entrepreneurship in Singapore and other areas. I got to know SIP through my friend terry's help. Then met SIP president Ms. Penny Low and we decided to give a try to setup its China Chapter. Here we run as a club to engage innovative youth who strive to have an impact on society. we focus on:

1) Skills education: How students can run projects in an innovative way?
2) Chapter Training (For staff only)
3) Support Members' Initiatives by leveraging SIP Network in different area.
