hi bonnie,nice to hear from you you and your hubbie appear to have the music for folk combo....very good, you will however find piano lessons which include the black notes on the keyboard a reasonable challenge....but i am sure you will be able to handle the change from diatonic to chromatic....yes i do play many gigs varying to solo ,duo ,jazz band and orchestra i have two excellent keyboards and two piano accordions, one is a loud german tone and the other soft and musette sounds french/italian tuning.my son plays a variety of pentatonic tuned folk flutes whih he has picked up in his travels mainly to the usa west coast.i have an exhaustable knowledge of practical and theoretical music, i guess thats my irish roots coming through....will you be studying classical or jazz piano lessons?....make many enquiries before committing to a teacher regards Patrick
