Tribals have been victims of modernization and industrialization and in many ways urbanization. They have been systematically removed from their lands, forest resources, culture, religion and language. They become ecological refugees.
Tremendous external pressure on their land and forest resources on the one hand, emerging market economy and consumerist demands on the other, are pushing the tribal population to penury.
It is the time to help them financially and technically.
Leadership capsule in Church&society
Bishps are not the sources of the good ideas in their dioceses but
such ideas and initiatives should be brought to their attention and
should be confirmed by them.
When problems arose, bishops met in councils to tech and guide church
members over wider areas.
The weakness of many diocese/parishes today stems precisely from the
passitivity of parishioners, that their low levels of involvement in
worthwhile service.
I repeatedly stressed that in Burma the Church ministers better
notpreach from the pulpits if they are not interested to help in the
peace efforts.
A bishop should be solicitious for the welfare-
spiritual, intellectual, and material of his priests, so that they may
live holy and pious life, and excercise a faithful and fruitful
ministry.( CDII 16ff)
A good leaderdoes not do everything himself but makes others in the
fellowship of the community participate in the managingof the Church
affairs. He needs to know how to use the council wisely , how to help
it and how to be helped, by it come to the right decesions.
He is aware of both his/their strenths and wealness. He is not afraid
to admit to the latter.
There is not perfect leader who has all the gifts necessary for good
leadership. He risks becoming agents of division and thus of death.
Bad leaders tend to surround themselves with "yes" people. Such lack
of charity in decision-making will gradually create serious until
eventually an explosion occurs. They are not sure that they can rock
the boat and still remain aboard.
Sometimes we even have to leave the communities( migration, refugee,
desert the church, separated families, leaving priesthood)especially
if the new leader is young and inexperienced and is afraid of their
presence. Such people need a lot of compassion and help from wise
people who accompany them. It can be a time when the cross becomes a
reality. We must wait prayerfully for the time of resurrection, when
we will again find a place where they can give life.
We should not be left to carry responsibility alone. We need someone
who will counsel, support and encourage us. We should not be left to
muddle through situations and tensions which are difficult for us to
handle.
We need someone to whom we can talk freely, who understand and confirm
us in our responsibilities. Without such support, leader will be in
danger of closing in on ourselves or of cracking up, and this is
particularly true for leaders of communities.
Dialogue creates and generates mutual obediance. Action is what makes
a leader effective. A leader has a vision that encourages change and
transformation.
All leaders need help formation, support, accountability and
evaluation in order to excercise our responsibilities with great
wisdom and love.
Without repentance, we can not even change the social& pastoral structure.
The outcaste, the sinners the Samaritans are given the privileges to
repent and participate in the work of the extension of God's Kingdom.
Thanking you success in your leadership.

It markd the end of one the bittiest chapters in our long fund raising at AMMADO. The curtain has been finally pulled down for the beastly practice of apartheid who considered themselves superior and more privileged( attack ad hacked Tribal Media Group).
The hapless tribals population was subjected to subhuman treatment. They are continuously exploit , the fruits of labors are taken away and only justice is meted out to them. History stands witness to the perpetuation of cruelty towards an innocent and ignorant people.
The victory indeed is brought with a high price. Many a precious life has been sacrificed. Tribal Media Group and volunteers have to suffer untold miseries and hardships during these days from 2007 .
It is noble method of peaceful way that win us the unanimous supported and sympathy of the entire world.
Tribal Media Group can grow and proper with your concerns.

Cyclone Giri has left 86,000 farming households and thousands of casual labourers, who had depended on the now devastated annual harvest, without any hope of cash.
Cyclone Giri, a category four tropical storm that hit the country's western coast on 22 October, destroyed at least 16,187 hectares of rice paddies and damaged another 40,468ha. About 40 to 50 percent of the area is no longer harvestable
concern continues to be that these tarpaulins will not help very much, unless we get the people back on their feet economically in terms of their livelihoods, otherwise they are not going to be able to build their houses
$ million is needed to support livelihood rebuilding over the next three months, including reconstruction.
260,000 people have been affected by Giri.

Song Za Kam, what an interesting fundraising challenge you support. I am going to enjoy following the things that you do and the chats that we will have. I am involved in running an organisation which teaches deaf children to SPEAK without using sign language. A real challenge but well worth the effort. Funds are not always easy to source but we just march on!... We offer free hearing screening to disadvantage and rural South African babies and young children. Thanks for the invitation.
