ammado would like to send out a message of solidarity for the victims and their families, survivors and those still struggling after the tragic earthquake in Abruzzo.

We would like to remind organizations, individuals and all of some of the tools on ammado that could be of assistance in the urgent moment.

First for nonprofits, use the giving circle to receive emergency relief donations now and following. If your organization has not signed on the giving circle, we will do our best to help facilitate and expedite the process.

For people we urge you to support nonprofits working in the region. You can do this by donating to them or by spreading their message using our sharing capabilities. For example use the facebook function for your giving circle to expand your reach. The process is simple – on your ammado profile you will find the tag “promote your giving circle”. Alternatively you can do so through facebook by adding “ammado giving circle” through the applications menu. Remember you can also share articles and nonprofit profiles on facebook, enabling you to promote the causes you support to a wider audience.

The Italian Red Cross is one of the nonprofits currently working in Abruzzo. If you wish to donate to them online you can do so through the Irish Red Cross and the American Red Cross, who are both currently accepting funds on their behalf. When donating please leave a comment with your donation specifying that you wish your donation to go to the Italian Earthquake appeal.
