We have many nonprofits that can benefit through your fundraising community. Remember, anybody can donate to your fundraising community whether they are ammado members or not.
Fundraising communities are simple to set up and run. ammado will forward all donations from fundraising communities to your nonprofits' accounts. You do not have to do any financial work!
How to set up a fundraising community
Create a "Public or Private" community or choose to raise funds in a public community you already moderate. Click Start Fundraising and enter the details of your cause:
- Your Beneficiaries - select one or many nonprofits to benefit from your fundraising
- Your Fundraising Category - select the category of your cause (for example, "Animals" or "Human Rights")
You can also choose a target amount that you wish to raise and an end date for your fundraising effort.
Once you are happy with your fundraising page, click Start and you can immediately begin to receive donations for your cause.
Please note that your beneficiary nonprofits must be eligible to receive donations on ammado.
Helpful fundraising hints
ammado fundraising communities have many features that can help your fundraising effort:
- News and articles - publish stories and updates about your cause. Your publications can be added to RSS feeds and syndicated to the entire Web.
- Conversations and messaging - talk with other members of the community about your cause. Conversing with others is a great way to get feedback on your cause.
- Videos and Images - upload and share videos and images related to your cause. Videos and images attract attention better than text and can bring your cause to life.
- Polls - find out what your community members think of your cause and the best ways to benefit it.
- Libraries - upload additional material relating to your cause. This may be factsheets on your cause or application forms to volunteer for your cause.
